Expanding Access to Knowledge Through Modern Learning Spaces
In the hilly district of Bhojpur, Nepal, Shree Sharada Higher Secondary School has long been a place where young learners come together with big dreams but limited resources. For many of its students, access to books and digital learning tools was scarce, making it difficult to explore ideas beyond the classroom.
Recognizing this need, we supported the establishment of a modern e-library through our School Infrastructure Improvement Initiative. With a grant of NPR 500,000 (approximately €3,556), the project helped furnish and floor a new e-library at the school, creating a comfortable, well-equipped space for students to read, research, and learn.
The initiative was carried out in collaboration with the Sharada MaVi Pyauli Ex-student’s Society (SMPES), whose members took an active role in managing and setting up the library. Their involvement ensured that the project reflected both community ownership and a shared vision for better learning opportunities.
Today, the e-library stands as a hub of curiosity and connection. Students can access digital learning materials, explore new subjects, and develop skills that prepare them for the future. Teachers have also found it to be a valuable resource for lesson planning and interactive learning.
This effort represents more than an investment in equipment; it’s an investment in knowledge. By helping schools like Shree Sharada create spaces that inspire learning, we continue our commitment to empowering education through meaningful community partnerships.
