DEPT® Cares: A Global Spirit of Giving, Rooted in Local Impact
Every year, our global Client DEPT® celebrates DEPT® Cares, a time dedicated to giving back to our communities. It is an annual event that reflects and reinforces our shared commitment to doing good and making a positive difference.
In Nepal, DEPT® Cares has grown into a meaningful tradition of empathy, action, and local partnership. Over the past three years, our team has led a variety of initiatives focused on education, health, and inclusion, each one guided by our belief that progress becomes more powerful when it is shared.
Here’s a look back at how our Nepal team from 2023 to 2025 has continued to create impact through small actions, heartfelt connections, and purposeful collaboration.
2023: Starting Strong – Cleaning Our Communities and Saving Lives
Our first DEPT® Cares in Nepal marked the beginning of something special: a tradition of togetherness, compassion, and purpose. It set the tone for our ongoing commitment to community well-being and environmental care.
Community Cleanup Campaign
Our team came together to clean local neighbourhoods, collecting waste and raising awareness about hygiene, sustainability, and civic responsibility. With gloves on and sleeves rolled up, we worked side by side to help create cleaner, healthier public spaces. It was a simple act that carried a powerful message, caring for our surroundings begins with each of us.
Blood Donation Program
We also hosted a blood donation drive at our office premises in collaboration with Blood Donors Association Nepal. The event brought together employees and community members, highlighting how one simple act of kindness can make a life-saving difference. Together, we were able to collect 31 pints of blood, potentially saving up to 93 lives.

2024: Serving with Heart – Fundraiser Lunch Event
In 2024, our team organized a Fundraiser Lunch Event, bringing together colleagues and partners to share a meal for a meaningful cause. Every plate served contributed to a collective donation that supported local community organizations.
The funds raised from the event were donated to Manav Sewa Ashram, helping provide care and comfort to elderly residents, and to Sneha’s Care, an animal shelter dedicated to rescuing and protecting stray and injured animals.
Beyond the delicious food, the event was a celebration of unity and kindness, a reminder that small acts of generosity, when shared, can create a lasting impact. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, gratitude, and purpose, proving that giving back can be both joyful and deeply fulfilling.

2025: Expanding Our Impact Through Multiple Initiatives
In 2025, DEPT® Cares grew bigger than ever, with a diverse range of programs that touched lives across education, inclusion, animal welfare, and healthcare. This year was a celebration of collective compassion and a reminder that when we care together, our impact multiplies.
Student Engagement Program
Our team organized an art competition at Vijay Memorial School to inspire creativity among students and donated essential stationery items to support their learning journey. The joy on their faces as they drew, painted, and expressed themselves reminded us that education is about more than lessons, it is about imagination, confidence, and inspiration.
Clothes Donation Drive
Over several weeks, we placed a collection box at our workplace, encouraging team members to donate their gently used clothes. After sorting and packaging, we delivered the donations to the Sukhawati Charity Store, ensuring they reached those who needed them most. It was a simple yet powerful act of giving, offering comfort, warmth, and a second life to something meaningful.
Fund Donation – Supporting Animal Welfare
As the festival of Kukur Tihar approached, a time in Nepal when dogs are honored for their loyalty and love, our team made a fund donation to an animal shelter. The contribution supported medical care and food for rescued dogs, reflecting our respect for both culture and compassion.
Charity and Community Service
Our team dedicated time to supporting two incredible organizations that make a difference every day. At the Disabled Rehabilitation Centre, our team spent the day sharing lunch box meals with children and providing essential supplies to assist with their daily needs. The experience was filled with gratitude, laughter, and connection, reminding us that kindness has its greatest impact when it is personal and shared.
We also visited the Missionaries of Charity Nepal, where we offered meals, essential supplies, and companionship to the elderly residents. Listening to their stories and spending quality time together made the visit one of the most heartfelt moments of the year.
Blood Donation Campaign
Continuing our tradition, we hosted another blood donation campaign to support local hospitals and save lives. The strong participation from our employees and community members once again showed that compassion only grows stronger with time and that even small acts can have life-changing effects.
